In the Gulf a hamoor is a prized fish and, in everyday speech, a man of wealth and standing. Hamoor the character is both at once: a grouper in a crisp white kandura, carrying himself like he owns the building.
He is Toyio's flagship, designed to stand for Gulf ingenuity and the entrepreneurial streak the region is known for, with a wink. The first edition shipped in 2023 in a printed box with a cut foam insert. A second production run is under way.
The character has since spawned a series of concept pieces, each documented on its own.
